Terms of service

The terms for using Zenkai, operated by Rabea Labs LLC.

Last updated September 15, 2026

The short version

Accepting these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Rabea Labs LLC, the operator of Zenkai (referred to as “Zenkai,” “we” or “us”). You accept them by creating an account or using the service. If the terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we'll tell you in the app before the new terms apply; continuing to use Zenkai after that is acceptance. If you don't agree, delete your account — Settings → Delete account. Deletion timing and exceptions are described in the retention policy.

What Zenkai is

Zenkai stores, computes and displays progress against personal standards you define. You can use hosted Kai where available, or connect an agent you run yourself. AI interpretations and scores can be wrong; review them and use the correction controls. Zenkai is not medical, mental-health, financial or legal advice, or an emergency service.

Your account

Acceptable use

Don't break, probe or overload the service; don't access anyone else's data or try to; don't use Zenkai to harass anyone, including guild-mates; don't submit a photo of anyone but yourself; don't misrepresent who you are. We can suspend or close an account that does any of this, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Your data

What we store, who can see it and how to delete it is the Privacy Policy; what the character feature keeps and destroys is the Retention & Destruction Policy. Both are part of these terms. Your scores, reports, standards and other content remain yours; you give Zenkai the permission to store, process and display them to you — and to guild-mates, where the privacy policy says so — solely to run the service.

Your character and your likeness

In plain words: your character is yours. We use it to provide your character feature, including showing your current character to guild members when you join a guild. The privacy policy explains the service providers involved in processing it. We cannot sell it, put it in ads, or use it to train our own AI models. Removing it ends the feature licence below; deletion timing and retained records follow the retention policy.

As between you and Zenkai, you own your character — the generated images and the written description of your features (the “Character Materials”), to the fullest extent such materials are capable of ownership. You grant Zenkai a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to store, reproduce, display and modify the Character Materials solely to operate the character feature for you — generating your character, showing it to you in the app, and updating it when you unlock gear or retake your photo. While you are a member of a guild, the licence extends to displaying the current character image to that guild's members — joining a guild is that choice, and it ends when you leave.

This licence terminates automatically when you remove your character or delete your account, at which point Zenkai deletes the Character Materials as described in the Retention & Destruction Policy. Zenkai claims no ownership of your face, your likeness, or the Character Materials; acquires no right to use them for advertising, marketing, promotion, or the training of any machine-learning model; and may not sublicense them to anyone.

Zenkai's stuff

The app, the artwork (including the base characters your character is drawn from), the scoring engine and the Zenkai name are ours or our licensors'. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app while these terms stand. Don't copy, resell or pass any of it off as yours.

Third parties

Zenkai uses the hosting, AI, authentication, analytics and notification providers described in the privacy policy. Your own external agent and its infrastructure are governed by your arrangements with those providers.

Apple App Store license

If you download Zenkai from Apple’s App Store, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) governs the app license unless a custom EULA is provided through the App Store. These terms also govern your use of Zenkai’s service. Rabea Labs LLC operates Zenkai and handles app support; contact hello@rabealabs.com.

Development and paid features

Zenkai is currently in development. Availability and features may change. If a paid plan or trial is offered, its features, price, duration, renewal and cancellation conditions will be shown before you agree to it. This website does not enroll you in a subscription or charge you.

If you purchase an auto-renewing subscription through Apple, Apple bills your Apple Account. It renews unless you cancel under the conditions shown at purchase. Manage or cancel it in your device’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions; see Apple’s cancellation instructions. Deleting the app or your Zenkai account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription. Refund requests for purchases billed by Apple are handled through Apple’s purchase support, subject to its terms and your rights under applicable law.

No warranties

Zenkai is provided as is. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a score will feel fair — the standard is yours and the judgment is your agent's. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Zenkai's total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the service is limited to the greater of $50 or what you paid Zenkai in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Ending things

You can stop using Zenkai or delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account for breaking these terms, or shut the service down entirely with reasonable notice — in which case you'll have the chance to delete your data first. Sections that by their nature survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, disputes) survive.

Disputes, arbitration, and your right to opt out

You and Zenkai agree to resolve any dispute arising out of these terms or the service through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief for intellectual-property misuse. The arbitration will be conducted in your county of residence or remotely, and Zenkai will pay all arbitration fees beyond the filing fee you would have paid in court.

Class-action waiver. Disputes will be arbitrated only on an individual basis. Neither you nor Zenkai may participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding.

Your right to opt out: you may reject this arbitration agreement and the class-action waiver, and keep your right to sue in court, by emailing hello@rabealabs.com with the subject “Arbitration opt-out” from your account email within 30 days of first accepting these terms. Opting out has no other effect — your account and every feature work exactly the same.
